Get your October 13 & 14 events promoted!

Looking to get the word out on your adoption events? We have you covered! Adopt-a-Pet.com is once again working with Coldwell Banker to make your existing adoption events an even bigger success. This year the Homes for Dogs National Adoption Weekend is October 13th and 14th, 2018 and is for all types of pets in both the U.S. and Canada! Adopt-a-Pet.com and Coldwell Banker will be promoting that weekend’s adoption events so you’ll be guaranteed publicity just by listing your event. A Coldwell Banker Real Estate agent in your community may even contact you for more local promotion. To qualify for this free publicity, you need to:

  1. Be a shelter or rescue with an Adopt-a-Pet.com account.
  2. Have an adoption event (or public facility open for adoptions) on Saturday, October 13th and/or Sunday, October 14th, 2018.
  3. Complete this form ASAP to give us your event details: https://www.research.net/r/JH6VPB5

Shelter dogs becoming service dogs

K9s For Warriors trains shelter dogs to become service dogs for veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). A study they did with Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine suggests that veterans show fewer symptoms of PTSD compared to veterans without a service dog. These shelter dogs are saving veterans’ lives! Learn about the study.
