New Partner: Hallmark Channel

We are happy to be partnering with the Hallmark Channel in their efforts to help homeless pets! The network is home to Adoption Ever After, a multi-faceted animal welfare initiative, that aims to dismantle common misconceptions about shelter animals, provide resources, and encourage pet adoption. In conjunction with Adoption Ever After, Hallmark Channel will premiere the “2018 American Rescue Dog Show” on Monday, February 19th at 8/7c. The show’s mission is to celebrate rescue dogs in a personality-driven competition and inspire the public to adopt their next dog. As such, they are offering Adopt-a-Pet.com as a valuable resource viewers can use to find adoptable pets in their area. Be sure to tune in!

As always, Adopt-a-Pet.com gives you control over which Partner sites display your pets. If you’d like to opt out your pets and organization from appearing on http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/2018-american-rescue-dog-show, just uncheck their Partner checkbox on your My Shelter/Rescue Info page at https://www.adoptapet.com/cgi-bin/shelter/shelter.cgi/shelter_edit_form and click the update button to save your changes.

A Message From our Friends at Petco…

Why does a dog’s breath smell so bad?

Here’s the thing about stinky dog breath: it might be a sign that a dog’s health isn’t quite right. This guide is a great first step to determine potential causes of bad breath, helping you to identify potential health issues among the animals under your care and to help inform adoptive pet parents about signs that their pet might need a health check-up.
