Winter cat shelters

Adopt-a-Pet.com is always looking for ways to help animal welfare organizations, and this winter we sent dozens of low cost cat shelters to areas that freeze. The winter cat shelters are placed by feral caretakers in secure areas where they feed their colonies and help cats stay warm and survive. Though we have already distributed all the shelters we donated, we wanted to share this website with you so you can see their smart shelter designs at WinterCatShelter.com

Innovation

Got a Lifesaving Idea?

The Petco Foundation is also now accepting applications for their 2018 Innovation Showdown! This collaborative project brings the nation’s top animal welfare organizations together to invest in lifesaving innovation. The deadline to apply for the Innovation Showdown is 5:00pm CST on Friday, February 16, 2018. However, if pet parents or adopters notice their pet is losing weight for no apparent reason, especially over a short period of time, it could indicate a serious underlying condition. A Message From our Friends at Bayer…

Pet health depends on new pet parents learning the basics.

You help give pets a healthy start at the shelter but it’s up to pet parents to keep it up at home. Educating adopters on the steps they can take to give pets a great quality of life is essential. And we have just the resources to help.
