Learn More about Rehome

Stop by our Animal Care Expo booth #613 to chat with us about Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet.com and the Petco Foundation. Rehome helps pets at-risk for relinquishment stay in their homes when they can and is a simple and reliable way for pet owners to find new homes for pets who can’t – while funding your shelter or rescue organization’s work. Learn more here or swing by booth #613 at Expo!

Tell us About Dog Playgroups!

Dog playgroups can be fun for dogs and people. Our friends at Maddie’s Fund are looking to learn more about playgroups, and really hope that you’re willing to lend them about 10 minutes of your time. They are asking for responses from organizations that have a physical space where they can have playgroups, whether or not they currently run playgroups. If you complete the survey, you will be entered into their raffle for a $25.00 gift card. There will be 5 winners. Thank you in advance for your time!

New improved Shelter Info page design

Last month we shared that our designers and engineers had been working on a big project to rebuild pages that adopters see on Adopt-a-Pet.com — starting with the shelter search results. Those updates are now complete and visible for everyone! We’re happy to report improved engagement from potential adopters, especially on phones and tablets. You should try doing shelter search on your mobile device to see how mobile-friendly it is!

The next page design we are working on is the Shelter Info page. That’s the page you see if you click on your shelter/rescue’s name link in the Contact Info box on any of your pet’s pages. The Shelter Info page is undergoing a top-to-bottom update to make it faster, cleaner, and more mobile-friendly. Some users will see the new Shelter Info page design after May 29th and we will eventually roll it out to everyone just like we did with the search pages. The mockup screenshot above is a sneak peek to show you how awesome it looks on a desktop. Just wait till you see how awesome it is on mobile devices too! As always, we appreciate your feedback! Just reply email us at helpdesk@adoptapet.com.

You can update the info that appears on your Shelter Info page at https://www.adoptapet.com/cgi-bin/shelter/shelter.cgi/shelter_edit_form
