The first day of spring is this month, and you know what spring means… kittens! Of course we love kittens but we know there are just too many of them, and shelters and rescues are overwhelmed. We hope our featured feature foster home volunteers can help you make room for springtime litters! We’re here to help you however we can with our website, just email Laurie and Jennifer at helpdesk@adoptapet.com with your questions.

.Oodle Classifieds
.
Oodle operates a network of online marketplaces with more than 15 million monthly unique users. Pets on Oodle are posted in a classified ad format. The post displays the pet’s first photo and description, and for pets from Adopt-a-Pet.com, a prominent link that brings potential adopters to that pet’s listing on Adopt-a-Pet.com so they can contact the listing shelter or rescue directly.
.
Oodle Classifieds is a pilot program partner we’re testing to get more people to see pets for adoption. Even if you’re opted in to this pilot program, there’s a chance your pets may not appear on Oodle right away. Of course, if you definitely don’t want us to send your pets to Oodle, just uncheck the Oodle box at and click “update” at the bottom of your Adopt-a-Pet.com account’s info page at https://www.adoptapet.com/cgi-bin/shelter/shelter.cgi/shelter_edit_form
.
Psst… Unchecking your Adopt-a-Pet.com Oodle checkbox at the link above only stops Adopt-a-Pet.com from sending Oodle your pets.  Other websites may already be sharing your pets with Oodle. Please contact other websites directly about their opt-out options.

Featured feature: Foster home volunteers available
.
The Adopt-a-Pet.com Volunteer Center database is constantly growing with new volunteers across the US and Canada who are signing up to help shelters and rescues like you! 915 new volunteers that have registered in the Volunteer Center this month (46,285 total) including many foster homes. You can run a search and email them all at once at
.
For the highest response rate, we suggest keeping the initial email message you send as short as possible, and making the subject line relevant and specific, like “Can you foster a kitten for Fluffy Inc?” Volunteers are ready and waiting to hear from you!
