Tell us your Best Practices stories
Have you ever had a mentor? Someone who spared you the hardships of trial and error and helped you to know the right way to do something the first time? What if you could be that mentor for another person in animal welfare? We’re looking for your best stories that can teach a valuable lesson to others in the animal welfare community. Maybe your shelter or rescue has an innovative way of managing volunteers or some creative fundraising ideas that could help animals across the country. You can share your knowledge to help even more animals! Your story could be featured on a new sheltering website from our friends at Purina. Please send your “Best Practice” stories to firstname.lastname@example.org
Purina continues to help homeless dogs and cats
Our friends at Purina® Pets for People continue to help remove barriers to adoption by changing perceptions of shelter pets!
One way that Purina supports shelters is through partnerships with Shelter-Me Photography and the Shelter Arts Foundation. These organizations are dedicated to training shelter staff and volunteers to get the very best photo of every pet that is available for adoption. You can learn more about this effort at www.meettherealme.org
Found Animals Microchips
The Found Animals Registry was built for one reason: all lost pets deserves to find their way home. As a nonprofit organization, they offer low-cost microchips and 100% free registration in support of that vision. Email Found Animals at email@example.com

And, of course… As always, we thank the wonderful, pet-loving people at Purina and Bayer Animal Health for supporting all of us in our mission and making Adopt-a-Pet.com a free service!
That’s all our news for this month. We’d love to hear what’s going on with you too, so please stop by our pro page on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to say a virtual hello!
