Posted by Jennifer on October 1st, 2013

In 2013 the Adopt-a-Pet.com Veterinary Care Fund gave away $10,000 in grants to help pets in shelters and rescues get the veterinary care they need to go from homeless to adopted!
Thank you to compassionate fans who “liked” the Adopt-a-Pet.com Facebook page and our pet-loving sponsors for their part in making this year’s grant program possible.

Already have an Adopt-a-Pet.com shelter or rescue account?

NOW CLOSED. Applications were open October 1 – December 31, 2013. We will have more grants in 2014.

Ready to open a new shelter or rescue account?

After your account is approved and you’ve added a pet for adoption, you’ll be eligible to apply for a grant!

How do the grants help homeless pets?

These grants are helping shelter and rescue pets get the veterinary care they needed to go from sick, hurt, and homeless to happy, healthy and adopted! See the wonderful stories, photos, videos in the grant applications and before-and-after updates from Adopt-a-Pet.com shelters and rescues.

In 2012, thanks to compassionate fans who “liked” the Adopt-a-Pet.com Facebook page, $20,000 was added to our Veterinary Care Fund for 20 $1,000 grants for Adopt-a-Pet.com shelters and rescues to offset their veterinary costs and save more homeless pets’ lives.

The Adopt-a-Pet.com Veterinary Care Fund was established in 2011 with an initial donation of $50,000 from Purina Veterinary Diets® which was given out in 25 grants to shelters and rescues in 2011.
