Philadelphia Billboard & Bus Stop campaign
Adopt-a-Pet.com is proudly promoting your pets for adoption in Philadelphia with three new billboards plus many more transit shelter stop posters! This campaign is made possible by a generous donation from the passionate pet lovers at Purina. The billboards encourage people to visit Adopt-a-Pet.com, where they can see your adoptable pets. The transit shelter posters include a QR code so people can scan and share adoptable pets with their smart phones. Philadelphia is the latest billboard campaign for Adopt-a-Pet.com, following Miami, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Phoenix. See the billboard and transit poster images at

Dog Breed Infographics
Here’s one more way we’re encouraging the public to adopt a dog that is a good match for their home, as well as lifetime pet retention: our new Dog Infographics! Each beautiful full-color design educates people who may considering a particular dog breed or mix about what to expect with the average height, weight, life span, shedding, grooming, and activity levels – all easily understood at a glance. We’ve launched with 25 dog infographics that discuss the top 25 most popular types of dogs searched on our website, and will be adding more breeds and other species in the future too! The infographics are free for your use anywhere. Get yours here:

Get Zeutering training!
What’s Zeutering you ask? Zeuterin™ is the only FDA-approved natural injectable solution that safely and permanently neuters a male dog, and using it is called Zeutering! Ark Charities www.arkcharities.com is offering Zeutering (zinc neutering) training in at-risk communities. So far they’ve trained over 100 vets and  “zeutered” 2,000 dogs in the last 18 months! Upon successful completion, certified trainees receive a supply of Zeuterin™ so they can immediately begin using the product in their daily practice. They also earn five RACE-approved Continuing Education credits. The next training is in Southern CA June 9 and 11. Ark Charities would like to hear from veterinarians and licensed technicians who’d like to attend, or if you’d like to have an on-site training come to your shelter or rescue. Email abolzoni@arkcharities.org - Anne Bolzoni, Ark Charities’ executive director.

Cat Chow: improving 50 shelters in 50 states!
To mark its 50th anniversary, Purina Cat Chow launched their “50 Years. 50 Shelters.” program that will support 50 cat-focused shelters nationwide — one in every state — and donate up to $200,000 in product and monetary donations! The program features three elements: consumer voting to drive up to $50,000 in cash donations; three shelter facility makeovers valued at nearly $100,000; and cat care packages for each of the 50 participating shelters. A team of Purina® Cat Chow® volunteers has already completed one makeover—with amazing results. Watch this video to see the work we’ve done so far: http://youtu.be/Ewrr24eL3eo
.
The 50 shelters were selected from organizations registered with Pets For People – you can register at www.PetsforPeople.com for future opportunities!

Purina continues to help feed homeless dogs and cats
Our friends at Purina® Pets for People continue to help shelters and rescue groups with donations feeding 14,499 dogs and cats so far in 2013!
.
Purina’s support of animal welfare takes the form of Animal Welfare Support programs for non-profit organizations, described in detail on www.PetsforPeople.com. Their programs such as Pets for Seniors, Pro Plan® Rally to Rescue® and the Purina ONE® Pet Welfare Program are dedicated to providing support for local animal welfare organizations in their efforts to find homes for adoptable animals.
.
Occasionally the Nestlé Purina PetCare Company may have food donations available in your area. When you register your organization on www.PetsforPeople.com you will be automatically considered for any food donations that become available near you. During 2012, Purina donated more than $13 million in pet food and litter. In addition, should your organization be affected by a natural disaster, Purina may be able to provide food to help feed your organization’s animals during your time of need.
