Grant Submission: Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue Inc.

Posted by Jennifer on August 30th, 2011

We’ve received so many wonderful submissions for the Purina Veterinary Diets® $50,000 Veterinary Care Fund! We are so moved by the amazing lengths rescues and shelters go to give homeless pets a chance at getting healthy so they can be adopted – and think you will be too! So we’re sharing some of the submissions, and all of the recipients’ stories here on our Shelter Blog. Here’s how a $2,000 grant would (or, in the case of our recipients, WILL) change the life of a pet or pets in their care:

$2000 would mean a world of difference in the lives of the animals at Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue. We are so blessed to have our animals seen by Dr. Lori Duggan who is an extremely experienced exotics vet. Winning this grant would allow us to spay and neuter the 19 rabbits currently in our care who are not yet fixed, pay down the medical debt the shelter is in, provide for the medications needed for the shelter for the rest of the year, as well as assist with the significant care needed for one of our recent rescue bunnies, Oliver, who has a major malformation of his back legs and needs significant surgery and consults with orthopedic specialists, just so that he can live a normal life. Thank you for considering us for this grant.
